What is the purpose of the power switch on the Baby Monitor E20/E21 camera?

The camera is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, allowing for wireless operation. When used wirelessly, you can control the power state of the camera using the physical power switch. When connected to a power source, the camera will automatically power on.
