Yes. eufy HomeBase needs to be plugged into a wall outlet using its AC power adapter at all times in order to function properly. Please refer to the following hardwired power specifications.

eufy HomeBase AC Adapter:

Input: 100-240V~50-60Hz

Output: 12V/2A

Note: Please only use eufy HomeBase OEM power adapter since third-party power adapters may damage your eufy HomeBase.

However, eufy has released a backup battery for eufy HomeBase 2 for your peace of mind in case of a power outage. Please note the backup battery for eufy HomeBase 2 is for emergency use only and it cannot replace the HomeBase’s AC power adapter to continuously power the HomeBase for days.
