  The HomeBase can be placed up to 50 feet from the router. However, various factors can affect the connection range, such as wall thickness, obstacles between the HomeBase and the router, and the router's location in the house.

• Does the HomeBase have to connect to the router via an Ethernet cable during the initial setup process?
  Yes. The HomeBase must be connected to the router via an Ethernet cable. Once the setup is complete, you can switch to a Wi-Fi connection by opening the Eufy App and connect via Avatar > My Devices > Select HomeBase > HomeBase Settings > Connect 

• How far can the HomeBase be placed from the Video Doorbell C31/C30?
  The HomeBase can be placed up to 30 feet from the Video Doorbell C31/C30. However, various factors can affect the connection range, such as the type of door material (metal, wooden, etc.), wall thickness, and obstacles between the HomeBase and the Video Doorbell C31/C30.
