Fingerprint Scan Failed On eufy App

Modified on: Fri, 28 Nov, 2025 at 4:23 PM

Compatible with:

Smart Lock E130, Smart Lock S230

If the eufy app shows "Fingerprint scan failed", please try the following steps.

1. Press and hold the reboot button for 3 seconds until you hear a sound to reboot the lock. This button is located at the bottom of the front part of the lock.

2. Try to lock/unlock using an existing print to see if the sensor is functioning normally.

3. Clean your finger and fingerprint button of the device to check if it helps.

Sometimes, fingerprint recognition fails on rainy days. This design is to avoid extreme situations caused by excessive power consumption due to rain triggering the fingerprint sensor. At this time, you can still use the password, app, or key to unlock the smart lock.

If the above steps cannot resolve the issue, please contact us for help.
